I have always loved fitness and sports. My favorite sports are soccer and track. I played soccer at Salisbury University; after my senior soccer season, I found CrossFit and fell in love. At first, I was spending a few months doing CrossFit and a few months training for long-distance races. I completed two sub-two-hour half marathons and one sub-four-hour full marathon. I learned that CrossFit made me a better runner and prevented injury. Recently, I have been more consistent with CrossFit training and have been seeing lots of progress!
I believe every athlete is in need of a coach who cares enough to know their stuff and who genuinely believes in them. I have seen people close to me whose lives have been transformed by their health- positively and negatively. I believe that health has a huge impact on people’s well-being and, therefore, care deeply about sharing the benefits of working out with people. CrossFit is for everyone!
We understand how intimidating it can be to get started on a new fitness journey. But don't worry! We were all once the "new person." It's a scary thing- we get it. But at WCF, we foster a community that is inclusive, compassionate, and empowering. You will never feel alone.
All of our trainers have (at least) an up-to-date CrossFit Level 1 Certificate. We require every coach to go through our thorough on-boarding program and demonstrate proficiency in their craft before ever taking the floor.
